Joni Boyd is a poet, radio broadcaster and community arts organiser based in Boorloo.
She co-host RTRFM’s Indymedia - a grassroots activist news program covering local, national and international movements.
Here she has covered LGBTQIA+ rights, the Disrupt Burrup Hub campaign, solidarity actions with Palestine, sex worker rights, deaths in custody, local government and a range of other issues.
She also runs Perth Slam, a monthly poetry slam and has performed her radical poetry in pubs, bands, festivals and theatre all around the country.
She is a proud advocate for the transgender community in all her work.
