Myanmar's Spring Revolution and the Rohingya genocide

Two years have passed since the military coup in Burma (Myanmar) overthrew the ruling National League for Democracy (NLD) government. Despite the severe repression by the military, a protest movement known locally as the Myanmar Spring Revolution continues to mobilise and has recently taken up armed resistance against the repressive military.

At the same time the Rohingya people suffer from repeated genocidal attacks by the Burmese military that has occurred since 2017. This made it easier for the military to carry out the coup against the ruling NLD government.

Join this session to hear from seasoned activists with reflections on the Myanmar Spring Revolution and the nature of the Rohingya genocide and why it needs to be opposed.
